Final Fantasy Legend
The original Final Fantasy Legend released for Game Boy Classic in North America. This is the first game of the SaGa series. If you're having trouble finding a download for Final Fantasy Legend, try my links.
Or, you can buy Collection of SaGa. It was released for Switch, iOS, Android, and PC (Steam). It goes for around $20 US, and often goes on sale. It's only available digitally; it never received a physical release.

Makai Toushi SaGa (Japanese)
Makai Toushi SaGa for the WonderSwan Color is a full remake with enhanced graphics, redesigned sprites, and improved sound. It also adds new story scenes, updated character portraits, and quality-of-life features not found in the original Game Boy release.
English Translations & Hacks

By fans for fans, this is a complete English translation for Makai Toushi SaGa on the WonderSwan Color, thanks to the efforts by Sarah of Tower Reversed (their website is no longer available).

Final Fantasy Legend Fixed
Granz of “Granz' Gaming Corner” and Sarah of “Tower Reversed” compiled a hack with a mass collection of bug fixes and text restorations. This hack contains the following: edits to the text (mostly items, equipment & abilities) to reflect their respective names in Japanese, lots of overruning and broken text strings fixed, improved item icons, most of the bugs are fixed, added a new title screen, and most of the quirkiness is fixed (such as the “shoe” item that previously lacked a name).
I used to have links to “Granz' Gaming Corner” and “Tower Reversed” (the sites of the people who made this hack), but their sites are no longer available.
