"Hello boys and girls.
It's your favorite classic RPG drag queen! The great and all
powerful, Flea, from Chrono Trigger. I'm here to introduce
you to the magical world of SPCs. First I will tell you what
these things are. An SPC is a Super Nintendo song extracted
from the actual programming of a game. It is then converted to a
file that can be played (with the proper software) anytime you
desire as if it were an MP3! Cool huh?! I almost get
an orgasm just thinking about the concept. Best of all, an
SPC song is about the same size of a MIDI song! So its takes
up almost nothing. The two best Super Nintendo emulators (ZSNES
and SNES9X) both have a
feature that let you extract your own SPC songs. BUT to make
things even easier for you, most of FantasyAnime's RPG sections
already have SPC collections containing every song in the
game! To play SPCs all you need to do is download WinAmp and
then download SnesAmp. SnesAmp is a plugin for WinAmp, which
allows you to play SPC songs with it. Well now...
that's pretty much it about SPCs! SnesAmp can be downloaded
right here on this page or SnesAmp's homepage or Zophar's Domain. Look further down for
the links.
There's also a link to WinAmp's homepage so you can download
WinAmp if you haven't already. And if FantasyAnime's SPC
collections aren't enough for you, then browse the massive SPC
archives at SnesAmp's homepage or Zophar's Domain. They have SPC collections for hundreds of Super Nintendo
games!"
"Mac users: Ignore everything I said about
WinAmp and the plugin. Just download
Richard Bannister's
Audio Overload." |
