"Hello boys and girls.
It's your favorite classic RPG drag queen! The great and all
powerful, Flea, from Chrono Trigger. I'm here to introduce
you to the magical world of GYMs. First I will tell you
what these things are. A GYM is a Gensis song extracted from
the actual programming of a game. It is then converted to a
file that can be played (with the proper software) anytime you
desire as if it were an MP3! Cool huh?! I almost get an
orgasm just thinking about the concept. Best of all, a GYM
song only takes up about 1/3 the size of your average MP3! The
best Genesis emulator, Gens, has a feature that lets you extract your own
GYM songs. To play GYMs all you need to do is download WinAmp and
then download YMAMP. YMAMP is a plugin for WinAmp, which allows you to play
GYM songs with it. Well now...
that's pretty much it about GYMs! YMAMP can be downloaded
right here on this page or Zophar's Domain. Look further down for
the links.
There's also a link to WinAmp's homepage so you can download
WinAmp if you haven't already. Also make sure to check
out Zophar's Domain's
GYM archives. They have GYM collections for tons of Genesis
games!"
"Mac users: Ignore everything I said about
WinAmp and the plugin. Just download
Richard Bannister's
Audio Overload." |
